Contributed by kjm34 on May 15, 2019 - 10:53 AM

The SSE Community Blog [1] is looking for writers to report on the Evolution 2019 meeting [2] in Providence, RI, USA. If you’re interested in informal scientific writing and reaching out to your colleagues who couldn’t make it to the meeting (and even those who were there and couldn’t be everywhere at once), please consider signing up! If you’d like to commit to writing a post, please contact blog editor Sasha Mushegian at blog@evolutionsociety.org [3] and mention which conference events you plan to cover. Continue reading to learn more about what we’re looking.

What we’re looking for:

- Engaging summaries of scientific symposia: Write about the talks you attended, the study systems you learned about, the common themes that emerged and the new ideas people were excited about.
- Dispatches from special symposia, events and workshops: Are you planning to attend the reproducibility workshop, the public policy panel discussion, or other broadly educational events? Write about the big issues and what you learned!

If you’d like to commit to writing a post (generally ~750 words), please write to blog editor Sasha Mushegian at blog@evolutionsociety.org, mentioning which conference events you plan to write about.
